A burger box is a steam problem before it is a stacking problem. MG-P-HB06 gives 152×152mm of base with 76mm of headroom at 21g, which is the geometry that keeps a tall build upright and a bun away from the lid.
76mm of headroom over a 152mm base
Most burgers collapse in transit because the lid presses the crown. Seventy-six millimetres clears a double patty with lettuce and tomato, and the square 152mm base stops the build from sliding when the box is carried at an angle. Proportion matters more than volume here: a wider, shallower box of similar capacity lets the burger lean. Measure the finished build with the lid closed, not open.
Where the steam goes
Pressed fibre breathes. There is no plastic film holding condensation against the bun, so moisture migrates through the wall instead of dripping back onto the bread. That is the practical difference between a bun still firm after a ten-minute ride and one gone soft at the base. For very wet builds, leave a small gap at the hinge when closing.
Stacking six boxes on a pass
The 21g wall carries a filled box without the rim bowing, so boxes stack two or three high while an order is assembled. Under a heat lamp the stack stays square rather than sliding. If your build includes a loaded side, put that in a separate boat tray instead of widening the burger box. A flat lid is what makes the third box possible.
Carton maths for a burger line
125 pieces per sleeve, four sleeves per carton — 500 boxes at 46.5×32.5×32.3cm. A site selling 250 burgers a day works through a carton every two days, which suits weekly ordering from a distributor. The case is also shallow enough to store on a standard shelf without a second row hidden behind it. Order two cartons short of your forecast and re-measure the sell-through.
Questions buyers ask
Will a smash burger with a dome lid fit? Tell us the finished height and we will check it against the 76mm clearance.
Does it work for fried chicken sandwiches? Yes, and the extra headroom helps where the coating is craggy.
Can the box carry a printed logo? Yes, single or multi-colour, on the lid panel.
See the material comparison or send your build height for a fit check.
